Godly3vil
What was your set up like? Please elaborate on your fishkeeping experience with them.... Pretty much the same as it is now, heavily planted with lots of hidey holes etc. They completely destroyed my clown loaches fins and tails and chased my school of neons constantly. Amelia
I hear skunks do okay with Tiger Loaches and Tiger Barbs. It's a shame they're so agro because they are super cute. And cheap as chips compared to other loaches. $6 each at my LFS, compared to $18 for Yoyos, Polka-Dots and Dwarf Chains.
camtang
How many skunks did you have in the tank? Are they like other loaches and prefer big groups? (p.s, I have not done any research on skunkies...) What are Polka-dot loaches and tiger loaches?

Amelia
ALL botine loaches are gregarious -- they like to be in groups. Most loaches in general are gregarious except for a few species like Chinese Algae Eaters (yes, they're loaches). Camtang: Tiger Loaches (not very common in NZ -- also highly aggressive) -- http://www.loaches.com/species-index/sy ... ymenophysa Polka-Dot Loaches (also know as Angelicus or Burmese Border Loaches) -- http://www.loaches.com/species-index/botia-kubotai Also here's a great article talking about the most common botine loaches available. http://www.loaches.com/articles/an-intr ... ping-botia

Amelia
I'm about to convert my planted tank into a loach tank with Polka-Dots, Yoyos and Zebras. I'll upload pictures when it's done!! :bggrn: Slightly unrelated, but has anyone kept Loaches and Red-tailed or Rainbow sharks together before? Godly3vil
Haha yeah, I have. RTBS and clowns, didn't have any issues at all. Only reason I got rid of the rtbs is it chased my gouramis all the time.
