Modern Angl
I got myself a Eheim 2028 filter for my shiny new 675L tank, and set the thing up and tried to use the big button on the top to prime the thing, and some water goes up the water inlet and them goes right back down again... Anyone have any tips on getting this thing to work? Any places in the filter where air might be causing problems? Cheers
Jammos
just make sure the fiter is full of water then fill the outlet pipe and also fill the inlet pipe then when you turn it on push that button. Thats all i did :-?
Ira
I don't bother with the primer things, just put the inlet in the tank, suck on the outlet until the water starts siphoning, put the outlet where it belongs, wait for it to finish filling and plug it in. dan_from_nz
I have an eheim profecianal 2 and found also that it wasn't worth using the primer. The new model being released (the profesianal 3) is suposed to be alot better for priming.
Shelley
sorry I can't be at all helpful with this query as i am too thick to understand things like pumps/filters and lights...it is something I really have to get a grip of if I am going to be successful at this!...BUT....I am still trying to pick my jaw up off the ground....675 litre tank? wow! oh oh oh!!!!!! what are the dimensions? how absolutely stunning! *grins* please let us know what you are going to put in it. Modern Angl
tank is 180cm long by 50cm wide and 75cm high, going to put 20 neon tetras, 5 clown loaches, 4 Bristlenose, 3 zebra danio's, 1 snowflake bristlenose and a 14" common plec in there so far.... frees up 2 smaller tanks for quarantine duties. Still to decide what else will squeeze in there. Got the filter running after much sucking on the water outlet pipe, now I just have to move the tank to another spot as its not sitting flat, its slopes backwards atm
