Jaide
Anyone have them in cold water tanks? Do you feel it's necessary to heat the tank over Winter?
M@.
Hi! I have 2 in one of my tanks (unheated). They were in it over last winter - stayed active and seemed happy enough. It got down to about 12 degrees at its coldest from memory Mine are http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beaufortia_kweichowensis as apposed to the (Pseudo/)Gastromyzon types that seem more readily avaliable, not that I think it would make much difference. M@.
na, just a cold house first thing in the morning :yaw2: the landlord just installed a heat pump so hopefully wont get that cold this year!
blueether
That's interesting as I had three die over winter, two in an unheated tank that got down to about the same temps, and one that never recovered and was lethargic and died a few week later after lifting the tank temp up to 18-20 deg
John Rimbauer
I can't say I endorse it, but a chap I work with claims he has kept borneo suckers for the past year in an outdoor pond in pakuranga. It's a pretty unlikely claim, but this guy is very truthful and I can't see why he'd be fibbing about it.
