camtang
I am looking at getting some of these after xmas, but I have been told we have a couple of dodgy strains of them through NZ. Is this true? Anybody keep these and know anything about this or have some first hand advice on there colouration cheers
Tropheus
What do you mean dodgy strain other than they are hybrids? I heard there where two imports. One from germany and the other from asia. I saw the two strains side by side in tanks and I couldnt tell the differance :dunno: , other then the price. :nilly:
camtang
I pretty much got told to avoid them because they are dodgy, that was the end of the conversation. Maybe poor colourings or something like that. I have never seen any in person to make my mind up. Are they hybrid/line breed fish? ( or did I know that or have been told that before :dunno: )

Tropheus
The lot I saw had good body shape and colour as tropheus go. Havent looked into how they where created. They just didnt interest me for the money they where asking and knowing their history. Guess you could goole it
DYWLKR
Got some of them and they look great. Some look like very bright orange and some look pale but apart from that the body shape and behavior are just like any other tropheus.
