terry17
406 is out so shops have 405on sale for $ 299. I am thinking of using it for 200l or 300l water(already deduct for substrate) Any comments please? A bit worry about if it is too strong for 200l or not enough for 300l? It has Max flow of 1300l/hr, circulation flow of 850l/hr, and it is rated for 400l max.

KrazyGeoff
Possibly only every 3 or 4 months. Basically when the flow starts to slow down the the filter pads require cleaning. I have 7 of the fluval x05 filters in total. Never had any issues. Cheers
Jennifer
I have several of these, they are great and you won't have any trouble with the flow. You can adjust it to be lower flow if you need to.

calculator
In my opinion you cant have to much filtration on a tank, in fact i prefer to over filter my tanks. The only problem you you might have is to much flow. This is easy to solve as mentioned earlier by reducing the flow out of the filter. Personally I say if you cant afford it, get it. On my 300L tank I have a filter rated for 400L and one ratted for 200L both running on it.

calculator
If that is supposed to be tank, go 350, as on the whole I find big tanks more fun, easier, and look more impressive.
