Sophia
for some reason I never get sick of photos of frogs humping  they are so funny the way they snuggle up to each other with such straight faces :sml2:
alanmin4304
It is called amplexus which is far more delicate than humping (latin word for cuddles)---the latins are very romantic as you know.
zeebee
Lolol Humping! :sml1: Is it true frogs can change sex multiple times in their life?

nznatives
That looks to be a couple of inches deep so yeah that is enough and do not remove the spawn (if u get some) untill it has sunk i think after 8 hours or u are sure the male has finished his duties. InsectDirect can clarify that for you if message him. Exciting!!!
dazza33
Hey everyone look what i woke up to this morning . :happy1: I'm am soo wrapped this is the first time they have spawned. Cheers Dazza.
alanmin4304
They will spawn in a water volume like that but you will need a bigger setup to raise the taddies. I wouldn't move them until they have emerged and developed a bit.
F15hguy
Awesome  what temp is the water atm???
alanmin4304
I found it easiest to raise them in a bare tank and with really green rainwater with lots of algae for them to graze on. Brine shrimp nuplii, microworms and crushed up goldfish flake. Green and golds usually won't breed unless the water is at least 20 deg C. I had mine at 26. The others don't like as much heat, particularly the whistlers.
dazza33
Awesome  what temp is the water atm??? Hey the water temp is around 22 deg. I have tried to take as many out as I can and put into another tank. Was worried the other frogs would destroy them when in water. Cheers Darryl. nznatives
not too early as i collected spawn from whistling tree frogs in early july! although they seem to breed any time of year
F15hguy
think they might be green and golds
nznatives
F15hguy: if u were reffering to me, they are whistlers. I know this because seven have changed into frogs, and they are definitely whistler's.
