F15hguy
lol, old news, I have heard (from a reasonably connected person)that a shipment of adults has found its way to canada for the aquarium market there
blueether
F15hguy, I have read as much in an article online (I think it was i nNZ aquaculture) and I think it was from a few years ago - 2009? think that the tv one report is probably more to do with them getting enough of a success to make it truly viable to breed them. Some of the fish in the video looked a bit odd though.
cichlidcentral
I have seen this colony before, but when I saw it on the news I couldn’t remember for the life of me if they were using landlocked or diadromous stock/both.... anyone know?? after the eel work surprised it took so long, time and money gets in the way though I guess.. =/
Stella
I saw some of the eggs under a microscope. HUUUUUGE eyes (like with all fish eggs) and seriously cute when they move.
