snapperhead
I'm pretty sure I fed my mussel. I placed it in a small tank maybe 750-1000ml with sand. The water was cloudy green with bits of algae on the sand too. It stayed in the tank overnight, and in the morning the water was noticeably clearer. This should keep him well-fed. How often should I do this? Can they also be fed with brine shrimp?
F15hguy
I would try using the fry liquid foods available, or squeezing the water out of a hardboiled egg yolk (make sure you keep up water changes though that stuff fouls your tank quickly)
snapperhead
Forgot to mention, it stays there temporarily (overnight) in the small tank, then gets put back to the main tank. The water that I use to feed it is cleaned and then left to grow algae again.
supasi
How often you say? Constantly. Unlike humans they eat for the most of their lives. They constantly filter the water. They need to eat a lot of organisms to be feed properly. Every time you see it open its trying to eat.
