Re-potting lilly amd ranunculus - CHCH

Hi there,

This is the second time I am re-potting these plants. I am trying to source decent clay soil in CHCH area as the topsoil I used previously is too fine and end up 'disappearing'! Does anyone know where I can get some from?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

We have been getting good results from using fine river gravel for the lillies in perforated pots with some fertiliser sticks added, this was recommended from the wholesaler and it works wonders, that way they will absorb their food from the water more and help clean your pond. if not then try the Daltons aquatic mix.

Madness. So they just need something to weight them down?! Thinking about it, I can see how that would work with the ranunculus as they put out so many 'roots' to pick up nutrients out of the water. But you reckon lilys only need to be submerged?

Can anyone else verify this?
