Adrienne
The last country in Africa that we visited was Rwanda. We were pleasantly surprised, not knowing what to expect after the Genocide and rebuild of the country. Clean, good infrastructure. One day a month the entire population turns out to clean up the countryside, city and help build classrooms etc in the schools. Photos follow - I have labelled some of them Kigali (left), the hotel featured in 'Hotel Rwanda' right motorcycle taxis (right) traditional beehives (right) women at work - loading trucks (left), picking tea (right) refugee camp for refugees from the Congo (left) Genocide memorial flame looking from Rwanda to the Congo the Sabinyo troop of gorillas with the Silverback

Adrienne
we were away for 12 weeks in all, just over 5 weeks in Africa and then went through some of Europe. I will post a few pics of Europe but not nearly as many as I have done for Africa. All in al I took over 4,000 photos.

Adrienne
hah sheepsnana - it was astounding watching them stripping off the bark and sucking the sap. They stripped the area bare and those trees in the way the big Silverback just walked past and snapped them off at the base. They had actually come over the wall out of the park and those fields behind them in some of the pics are the locals potato fields.
