Ymir
Hi all you plant lovers Here is a list of commonly found aquatic and emergent plants found in NT of Australia. I found some surveys that covered rivers, creeks and billabongs for the particular bio-type I am going to try and copy. The numbers relate to how many times the plant turned up in the various survey spots. I used the NPPA list to work out what is banned (not many considering). Are there any that I missed? AQUATIC Aponogeton vanbruggenii 2 Blyxa aubertii 5 Caldesia oligococca 2 Eriocaulon setaceum 3 Myriophyllum dicoccum Najas tenuifolia Nymphaea violaceae 5 Nymphoides indica Ottelia alismoides Philydrum lanuginosum Spirodela polyrhiza Utricularia gibba 2 BANNED Vallisneria nana EMERGENT Eleocharis dulcis Eriocaulon willdenovianum Limnophila aromatica 3 Limnophila chinensis 4 Limnophila fragrans 4 Hanguana malayana Hygrophila angustifolia 2 Nelsonia campestris Philydrum lanuginosum 3 Staurogyne leptocaulis Xyris indica Of what is left, have any of these made in into NZ and being sold? or more helpfully, you have some for sale? Thanks Malcolm
kiwiplymouth
I could probably spare 1 Nymphoides indica and 1 Eleocharis dulcis although its in my outside pond so is dormant at this time of year. Limnophila aromatica I used to have but dont any longer try P44 Hygrophila angustifolia http://www.trademe.co.nz/pets-animals/f ... 641250.htm
F15hguy
if your doing a NT biotype tank I would reccomend adding a few VB stubbies and cans, they seem to grow well up there. as well as a couple of salties and an emergent plant covered in fishing lures
