lambo
Hi, We have to empty our house for the next three weeks or so for eqc repairs which means moving my fully planted discus setup as well :an!gry My question is this, how long would my planted plants survive unplanted as I'm not planning on putting the existing substrate back in for a while. The plants that concern me the most are my swords and twisted val. Cheers
supasi
Really depends on how you store them. If you floated them or used lead weights in a tempory tank with adequat lighting the they should be fine for several weeks.
lambo
Cool, thats what I was hoping for. They will be in their normal setup, just not planted into substrate. Will probably float them until we sort out our next move. Cheers
hovmoller
We shifted house in december.. I had all my plants (anubias, amazon, argentine, chain, micro swords, twisted val and xmas moss) outside in a transparent bed roller bin thing with aquarium water in it up until last weekend (so that's 3.5 months) when I planted most of them again.. They survived. Looked a bit pale and the roots had grown all funny but they are now back in a tank and seems to have done quite well..
