ryanjury
Phosphates is usually introduced.. Check your food and your water source and cut it at the source, I used to have very high phosphate levels in my tanks when I fed a cheap spirulina based food, it didn't bother the fish at all but my water looked like lime green cordial, as soon as I stopped with that food the phosphate levels dropped. alanmin4304
Phosphates can cause algae problems but does no usually worry the fish.
Sophia
You can get phosphate remover but it would be better to find the source and sort it there
karina
A very high level of phosphate does actually stress the fish. I've put phosphate remover in my external filter. Sera brand but you can get the API brand also.
