Would this be classed as a dragon, your thoughts please?

No, that would be classed as a fish.

Very interesting looking fish though.

oh you are funny Ira.

Yes he would be classed as a dragon although not a top quality one. Dragons appear to have layer over layer of scales - the thicker the coating the better quality they are. Whats his tail type, I know he is not half moon but can not tell from the pics. Nice looking though.

Thanks, i'll call him partially dragonized

This is the confusing part though, I really dont know how to classify him..... Blue, irridescent, Partially dragon, definately not a halfmoon. just have not seen anything else like him with a name on it.

It was sold to me as a blue dragon..... nothing else....His fins were shreded when I got him and at that point did look like a halfmoon because of this, but as soon as i got him on a good diet (blood worms and good betta pellets), His fins started growing and six months latter the fins just keep growing and growing and this is the result....

The caudal fin was actually probably another cm longer before I attempted to breed him and actually protruded out. sort of like a sword tail??

I may try breeding him with a short fin... see if this stabalizes the caudal fin in the next generation? I like the colours just looked a bit weird with the sword tail.

I like him though

NZ Bred or an import - do you know? If NZ bred he may have been a ct x - there are quite a large no. of them around atm. You may never know for sure as if his tail was badly tattered when you got him all evidence of a slight ray development may have been absent. I do like his colouring etc.
