Does anyone have some aquarium salt that living in Hamilton?

I would love to get a few grains to cure my betta fry fin rot.

I don't want to buy 500g of salt and only need to use just 2 to 3 grains.

Where can I get Maracyn2 in New Zealand? Can't find it in the fish store.

Please let me know asap via PM.

Regards,

Maxx

Thanks guy. I just bought a pack of Tonic salt from pet store. Did some water change with dried acorn leaves to tinning the water. Also added like half of tea spoon of Tonic salt to the tank.

I added water supplement and conditioner left my new water aged overnight and before changing it, I heat the water up to about the same temperature as the tank. Then I made a DIY water filter using my brine shrimp airpump and some aquarium cotton.

got back feom work today, found about 25 dead fry in total. I am expecting at least 20 more death tomorrow. Some fry are already at a stage of too late to be saved. The fin rot had already migrated to their body and eventually death is unescapable.

But good news, some are now more active than the other night after the water change and the filter inside the tank. It is now not at the top of the tank or at the corner. They are now swimming up and down and play with the bubbles and eating like crazy again. Most importantly they are now at the bottom of the tank like they used to be.

I think I sti have about 100 left. for now.

I hope I won't see more death after the Sunday. As Saturday it is expected to be some.

Update: fin rot seems to be undercontrol now. Though the one that got the worst fin rot and body rot are dead and still a few of the sick on left. The fry that only just started fin rot have been recovered and opening up their fins swimming now.

I added tonic salt to my new water over night before changing or adding new water in. fingers cross.

How old are the Fry??

They arw doing much better now. Today Much less death than the day before. The early infected fry are healing but the one that is already too late to save are dying. I can see they are now happy and swmming a lot. The snails on the other hand are less active. Must be the tonic salt made them sleeping or not moving much. I only add like 5 tonic cubes per litre of water change. going to cit down on salt after the next water change.

They are 3 weeks old now

Here they are now. Happy little pigs. only one dead today :)

But my trumpet snails are not happy. They have stopped socialising after a few grain of tonic salt went in the water. I have taken them out and put them into new water for rehab and they are once again moving.
