fishy-fish
I am happy with the quantities and ratios of fish per species in my lounge tank now so I finally decided to aquascape it albiet a budget one! Up until now it's been pretty bare due to the hassle of breaking it down to catch fish :nilly: It's pretty much just river rock from the 309 Rd on the outskirts of Whitianga and a couple bits of bog wood. Nothing to fancy here! I did have some java fern attached to the wood but it's pretty much destroyed now. I'm useless at keeping and maintaining healthy plants! Anyway, some pics of my friday night aquascaping sesh! My rock selection... A blank canvas... Finished product...

I call it "squeeky sand" cause it's so fine it squeeks when you walk on it. Stoked to live in the Coromandel bro! :happy1:

smidey
nice tank! i would just add more of the same species, double your numbers and add some nice peacocks.
fishy-fish
nice tank! i would just add more of the same species, double your numbers and add some nice peacocks. I had double the numbers but I keep selling them! I will probably up the dems to at least 15 and will need to on sell one of my male ice blues as I have 5 males to 6 females and I think 4 & 6 would be pushing it! I have three more johanni in another tank (all females) with my adult male, so fingers crossed for some decent johanni fry. I was thinking of getting some taiwan reefs off of ryan and wouldn't mind some red empresses. Just like the added colour spectrum these fish add. smidey
i was going to suggest red emps, giraffes and fryeri but figured they may not be such a good idea with the dems.
