Sheepsnana
Hey all, I have recently updated the aquascape, and thanks to the wife I have got a light (finally!) and we have attached the java moss to an apricot branch. Full width shot Closer shot of the apricot branch, with moss tied to it. Closer shot of the left side Closer shot of the right side The gravel is very thin, maybe about 15mm. Keeping in mind that this tank was done on a tight budget (expecting another child...) The filter is an Aqua One Aquis 1200 Canister Filter. Three air stones are plugged in, one small one on each side and a medium air stone in the centre. The bamboo makes an excellent breeding cave for the bristlenose. They were not interested in the larger pot-cave. Various plants have been accumulated and planted. I can name a couple but not all. Floating is a bunch of Indian fern. The Gourami love this. Two 150W heaters, one on each side.
Caryl
How deep is your gravel?
Mikey
Looks busy Will be good to see this when the plants get a bit bigger. One suggestion from me would be to dig/bury the airstones into the gravel... you will still get the bubbles, but you hide the bright blue stone from sight. I did this on my tank and it added to the "natural" look of the tank. Thanks for sharing.

I tried this, but the gravel is very bouyant and easily gets out of the way of the airstones
Sophia
if you are concerned then a bubble wall is more discrete but soon the plants will grow and cover the airstones anyway
