arcanine
this little guy is a golden black eyed bristle, but i think hes gone a bit far! looks like hes been punched in the eye literally! is this just a birth mark or maybe some type of disease? both parents are GBA's and all other offspring are normal?? KrazyGeoff
About 0.5% of GBA x GBA fry will have a "birthmark". It may fade in 2 or 3 years, but personally I think these marks are pretty cool. Also breeding from "birthmarked" GBA does not increase the frequency of "birthmarks" in the offspring. (just read the other posts and this may be redundant, but since I've gone to all the trouble of typing it........) Cheers
northland chic
This is my first one like that also. I like it because its differnt too. Nice to see its not the only one I must have had over 150 fry from this trio and never got another.
arcanine
interesting isnt it! i just realised my daddy bristles has a black spot, on one side of the spikes that they stick out when stressed, i always thought something was stuck in there but no its just a black patch. this is the 3rd batch i have had and my guy is the first with a black spot, so hopefully i get more!
