Li@m Posted November 27, 2011 Report Share Posted November 27, 2011 My current pH is 6.0 and i am going to do a big water change (50-60%) with water thats about 6.9-7.3 Wil this cause pH shock and kill my fish, or should i do smaller ones. its just that one of my fish has a little tiny bit of fin rot and i want to get the water quality back up to scratch. ryanjury Posted November 27, 2011 Report Share Posted November 27, 2011 I wouldn't do it but that's just me if I had to do it I would siphon the water in slowly with airline (even pinch it off slightly to slow flow more) so that the change was so gradual it didn't harm the fish.
