OK, let's try a different location in the forum - have added this under the CTT area, but doesn't seem to get all that many views, never mind! I've joined CTT in May 2011. Haven't posted anything yet (why? read on) but been to a couple of meetings. No sooner had I joined and set up the 240L tank again after having to drain it in February (being a tilt against the wall and no power for 2 weeks) - then the June earthquake came along, left just about everything standing on the mantelpiece but a metre to the left set the fishtank in motion - that was the end of that. On the bright side, it wasn't fully stocked yet, and most fish survived (one even after being out of the water for a couple of hours - good old Cory catfish), being thrown into the 60L guppy tank. This now contains 2 yellow gouramis, 2 glasscats, 2 cory cats, 1 emperor tetra, 1 red phantom, 2 black phantoms, 1 borneo sucker, too many guppies to count and plenty of plants. Still have more emperor tetras and cory cats and one pleco "outsourced" at friends, most likely permanently. Plus I have another tiny tank with 2 paradise fish - one of them a September earthquake survivor from my daughters school, came home in an icecream container. Used to have 2 fire-bellied newts; one died in the September earthquake, the other a few weeks ago. Most likely this will remain to be the setup for some time yet - until such time that the house is redecorated and straightened and earthquakes are history (or fish will fly...). In the meantime, I can come here and enjoy reading about fish!
