beachy
Hey all , I was cleaning the glass on my tank today, and noticed that the gravel sticks to my magnetic cleaner . This must mean that it contains some metal yea :dunno: . I cant seem to find much on the net about this, it is a proper aquarium gravel from a pet shop, white with black specs. Does anyone know if this will be a problem to my plants and inhabitants they all seem ok at the mo? cheers. 8)
Squirt
Meh I have sand in my aquarium, ran a magnet though it and it came up covered in some kind of black metal. I doubt it's harmful. I wouldn't worry  :dunno:
kiwiplymouth
Most likely it contains iron sand or similar. Its great for bringing out the Red Colour in your plants.
#!CrunchBang
It'll have a high Iron content or magnetic polarisation
beachy
Great, thanks for the replies. I would'nt have thought the pet shop would sell dodgy gravel, cheers
