Servitude
Hi guys, found out one of my discus has cloudy eye. Ive been reading and it looks like it needs good water quality. My question is, ive been doing regular water changes everyday so not sure how the tank is dirty, the effect is only on one eye?? so is it an injry? Do i add salt or medication? also, its a father discus with a tank with mum and 40x 4-5mm fry - so do i remove the dad only or can i add salt to the whole tank? Help please! AquaLife
No harm throwing some salt in but keep up/increase the water changes. It's mostly due to water quality.
jim r
I agree with the water changes, however if the fry are healthy it may be an injury as discus parents can become aggressive while defending the young.
Servitude
Thanks, hvae been doing regular water changes and have added the salt. I see the skin is peeling off, i think its healing. Babies have been seperated and feeding on liquifry and granule bits. Both parents have 1 infected eye each. they definately look irritated when the babies were feeding off them.
