Ira
What do you want oxygen weed for? I wouldn't bother with it if you're wanting it to "oxygenate the water" a small pond pump circulating the water with a little fountain or something would do as well or better. I don't know that I've ever seen a pond with oxygen weed that looked like anything but a bit green mass of algae.
spoon
wouldnt oxygen weed growing in a river be the one that is an unwanted organism and illegal? :digH:
Scottie841
wouldnt oxygen weed growing in a river be the one that is an unwanted organism and illegal? :digH: AGREED It is cheap enough to get the legal stuff from a pet shop
Squirt
:dunno: it's in the waikato river near taupo. The pet shop there would take it from the river I imagine
ichthus
Probably not, as most pet shops buy it from a supplier. Can't imagine pet shop workers in their gumboots going out to collect oxygen weed every monday morning!
bronze-dragon
Probably not, as most pet shops buy it from a supplier. Can't imagine pet shop workers in their gumboots going out to collect oxygen weed every monday morning! I can't imagine them wanting the consequences of being caught selling a potentially unwanted organism either.
Sophia
To my understanding there are different kinds of oxygen weed available in rivers, some legal and some not. Personally I would find it hard to tell them apart unless it was obvious but once upon a time Stella recommended a book to me that had good photos that could be of assistance.
