wellmax
I have just purchased an Aqua One Nautilus Canister Filter CF2700. My problem is I cannot get rid of the air in the system. I have installed the the water sucker pipe to the "IN" side of the filter and the spray bar to the "OUT" side of the filter. Does one actually hold down the primer button to release air?? or is this only used to fill the pipe with water. Before I began I did fill the filter with water. Your help would be most appreciated. Kind Regards John Mc

jim r
I have several cf 1200's and I have had problems also. In my case the problem was over tightening the shut off valves.
Adrienne
Priming the filter is simple - Just push the primer button a couple of times and the filter will prime itself! (except UVC model) may take several pushes of the primer if there are air locks inside
GZ_Loach
with my 2400 i found out that there is a plastic collar on on pipe around the motor housing, has something to do with sucking the air out with the out going water. If you still have trouble make sure that the piping is above the cannister itself so air can naturally rise out of it
