chopper Posted July 27, 2011 Report Share Posted July 27, 2011 Was pretty good episode made me laugh a little though due to its sensationalism. I have been bitten by big longfinned eels dozens of times their bite is very week and only draws a little blood. Feels like two metal files getting hold of you and pulling back, barely grazes the skin. si_sphinx Posted July 29, 2011 Report Share Posted July 29, 2011 Im from Manapouri where most of this was filmed and there truly is some massive eels in that lake. And they do swarm in the 10s of 100s. I put a back end of a stag in a creek once and they were everywhere within a few hours. Ive never been bitten before though, they were always scared of me.
