aquariumbeginner32
Is it strange/cruel that the Betas would be kept in tiny little cubes of water (maybe 1 or 2 litre) all separately at the pet shop? Is there are reason for this? Is it because they will fight with each other? I just didn't understand it and they looked so sad they barely had room to move. Joshlikesfish
They will fight with each other generally. The betta barracks animates have for fighters are awesome. More space than what some breeders keep the fish in They are also tropical fish, not coldwater
aquariumbeginner32
This was at Animates - new store in Takanini. The things they were in were tiny. Seriously, they were smaller than my 15L tank. I know they are tropical fish. I wasn't planning on getting any. One day... when I have a bigger tank maybe. Doh sorry I just realized why you said they aren't coldwater lol Sorry I should have posted this in the tropical section... my bad

Hopefully not my last time My friend said its a pretty nice looking store One of the breeders on trademe keeps his in 250ml bottles for quite some time. I used to keep mine in 1.5l bottles
aquariumbeginner32
Ok thanks for that. I just wondered really, why they were in such small containers. If that's normal then that's good Yes, it is a big store and lovely. They are very helpful too ... for beginners like me! I had to ask a lot of questions and even forgot one. Doh lol
