repto
depends what you call sucessfully i suppose?hours, days, weeks??
Squirt
I guess a few weeks would be nice. I would rather they get on in harmony. Putting fish in there that enevitbly get eaten is like stranding a person at sea.
repto
you are dreaming squirt, turtle = predator fish = prey, that means predator eats prey,ie turtle eats fish,do you follow so far?
Squirt
Yes I've had a dozen danios in there for a year or so now. So evasive fish evades turtle? Yes?

diver21
ive had some sucess with a convict cichlid with my turtle.... mind you i was originally trying to feet the convict to the turtle lol just make sure theres something solid in there like a pirate ship that fish can hide in
oO SKIPPY Oo
not much of a life for the fish if it has to hide out in the ship or whatever IMO - it would be like stranding you on an island in a pool with sharks swimming round
ichthus
Why are you wanting to put the two together? Feed the turtle? Scare the fish? Or just because you want to?
diver21
the ship was there for initial protection. till the turtle cornered the convict then the convict stood up for itself. then they lived happily together with the convict eating all the crumbs the turtle missed while feeding. so it ended up good in my case. but will probally end up a bit more disastrous for someone else.
