john1
Hi Cees Went to your personal website. Absolutely amazed. The layout, the colour, the concept. I'm speechless. One day, when you have time you have to show me how to do that. Did you use Frontpage or Dreamweaver?. Congratulations John

Caryl
I suspect you missed the sarcastic humour in that one Cees. I read it, thought 'what website?' so clicked on your web icon. Looked at what appeared, thought of John's post, and burst out laughing
cees
Caryl, You're right. I'm not so good with sarcasm. I can see what you mean though now that I realise he's talking about http://www.webcase.co.nz/. see http://www.dictionary.com/search?q=sarcasm sar·casm Pronunciation Key (särkzm) n. 1. A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound. 2. A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule. and http://www.dictionary.com/search?q=humor (humour or humor) hu·mor Pronunciation Key (hymr) n. 1. The quality that makes something laughable or amusing; funniness: could not see the humor of the situation. 2. That which is intended to induce laughter or amusement: a writer skilled at crafting humor. . . Sorry, I don't see the connection sarcasm - humour
john1
Hi to all the Cees' and other people who lack a sense of humour. All I did in my innocence, was, read posts. Then I happened to click on the home page of a certain person. Nothing wrong with that, is there? To my surprise I see a blank page with "Hello World" on it. I found this funny. Big mistake again. One should not find anything funny unless one looks it up in the dictionary first My remark was made just at the spur of a humorous moment. And not to 'wound' you or make you the butt of ridicule. But if you can't take a simple joke without resorting to study dictionaries and encyclopaedias, the I will sincerely appologise. Ira
Hahaha, I'm not sure if that post was full of sarcasm or not, John.
Pegasus
If I remember correctly (might be wrong) but that page was set up some time ago as a sort of test. As in many cases, major misunderstandings can come from a single line of printed text depending on the nationality of the person, or their ability to see the funny side of something the writer thought obvious. Possibly the reason the Smiley was designed
Caryl
I guess sarcasm was the wrong word. :-? It was a remark meant in fun Cees and nobody meant to wound you. He was being silly and I for one thought it was funny. Nothing hurtful was meant. Sorry
cees
Guys (and girls), knock it off. I'm not hurt, not even embarrased. (But with a website like that perhaps I should be). John1, I do have a sense of humor, I just took you serious in that post and thought you had me confused with someone else. One day I will do something about http://www.webcase.co.nz/ (at least every visitor gets a nice greeting rather than a 404) fwiw , http://www.typo3.com/ is what I use most of the time.
