Billaney
Looks like my oversexed fish have done it again , !! Just noticed very small Danio fry in the breeding tank sticking to the walls , not sure how many but looks like quite a few. Now from what i've been told and read, they need green water for the first week or two( got plenty of that) and then onto very fine flake or baby livebreeder/egg layer food( which i also have already got. if this is not right or I'm missing something please fil me in  Will post pic's as soon as there big enough to photograph
livebearer_breeder
There big enough for microworm milk, Other than that Green water does the trick. Suggestion, instead of moving them onto livebearer/egglayer liquid/ flake Id use BBS. Cheers Shae

Caryl
I'm sure I am responsible for the breeding. They got all excited at having their photos taken
Alan
Make sure that you have snails in the tank with them. They do two things, eat left over food, and create infusorians. Shae, what is "microworm milk"???? Alan
Caryl
and who has the patience to milk their microworms? You need a really short stool.
livebearer_breeder
Sorry about the confusion, i dont think it is a common term, Stuart Lord and i use it, its when you put a few drops of water from an eyedroppper into a culture, and then suck out the milky water out with the eyedroppper. jude
Darn, Caryl beat me with the joke - I was gonna ask how you milk micro worms .........

Alan
Just have to put the micro-worms into Kiwi-Juice, and they'll express themselves. Alan

Billaney
Question : with my Danio fry feeding off the green water and microworms, it seemed silly to me to have a filter going cleaning the green water out then keep adding more green water so i have turned the filter off , IS THIS OK ? they seem so small i'm also scared they would just get sucked into the filter no matter what i tried to cover the intact with. the tank is now starting to look dirty but since that is what there feeding on i don't know if this a good or bad thing , your thoughts would be a great help.
Alan
I would be using one of those el-cheepo corner box filters. They'll maintain your tank cycle and take out any thick crud. But only recycle the green water. Have you got snails, if not, why not?? Alan
