critter_crazy
Aww cutie! If he is a native it'd be best to ring a wildlife carer/zoo/department of conservation

oneeyedfrog
A puke, they are so cute ! We have raised a few of these on corn. Rob from bird rescue recommended this. Ph number for the bird recovery centre is 4381457 - they are so helpful. We just got some frozen corn kernels and covered them with boiling water . Fed out when cool. For the really young ones I used to squeeze out the corn from the "skin" at 1st till they got used to it. Keep warm and dry - under a light or by a heater. We let ours go around the house when they were old enough and have had no problems with them fitting back into the wild. Whenever Hubby stops at the letterbox a puke comes racing across the paddock to see him ( he carries maize in his truck for it:)) . Looks so funny :sml2:
alanmin4304
I would say, by the giant strong feet pukeko. Could even end up as a TV star too.
Carlos & Siran
Yep, thanx all, taking him into DOC this morning as we're shifting in less than a week and just don't have the time to care for him.
