phoenix44
He's had the best of 6-7 months of practise now I think. It's about time he got it right. :an!gry
Artem
Are they in their own tank? If they are, the female should be removed once the eggs are laid so she doesnt snack on them.
phoenix44
They breed in my planted tank, and won't be transferred to another tank or anything like that. She doesn't go near the cave once the deed is done and the male does quite a good job up to day 10. Next time I'll help them hatch on day 10. phoenix44
It was most likely because I picked up his rock and put it in a net breeder as he hung on to his babies! I kept an eye on him for a few hours, but the next day only 4 were left. Ah well, there is always next time. I have 4 fry at the moment. They seem happy but time will tell. It'll be another 10 - 14 days for the next batch of eggs I think.
