supasi
Is Aponogeton Undulatus the same thing as Cryptocoryne Undulatus? NO One is a Cryptocoryne and one is a Aponogeton Two very different plant species. They may to the commoner look similar but they are very different. The name undulata is because of the leaf shape. Hence them both looking similar. And C. undulata Does that make sense?
JazzyJeff
Thanks - yes that makes sense... There is some Aponogeton Undulatus on Trademe and just wanted to make sure it not the same thing as Cryptocoryne Undulatus as I already have that one. kiwiplymouth
Undulatus comes from the word undulate meaning to have a wavelike appearance or form So many plants with wavy edge leaves are given this name. Eg microsorum pteropus undulata anubias undulata hosta undulata Cryptocoryne Undulatus Aponogeton Undulatus
