henward
do you think a large ish fire eel will eat a small clown loach?
David R
Depends how large the eel is and how small the loaches are!!

David R
Doubt it, how thick is it compared to your tyre track? You know how big their mouths are....
Fruju
I think it would be safe.
snookie
my only concern would be the barbs on the clownloach if fire eel attempted it
maxim_nz
No 8) Had a large 24" Fire eel for many years in a 6' tank. Tank mates were 50+ giant danio's + huge family of bronze corys, Rosy Barbs etc... never lost any small fish to Fire eel.

ally07
I think I saw one at HFF Albany last week.. Was probably around 10-20cm? Can't be sure because it was hiding, but definitely small enough to fit into one of their standard display tanks..
Fruju
Buy a pool henward and put everything in it. You're gonna have WAY too much bioload as it is when they get bigger  I will pop by soon, see how things are going, I have mid-semester break at uni. Staplez
Fire, TT, spiney ect will eat what fits in their mouths. I've had Eels that make real good buddies with my bettas and other similar sized fish. I had a very sick betta and my TT stayed by his side the whole time, amazing thing to watch they were both fascinated with each other. But he'd munch a neon or Guppy in a heart beat. Love Eels, very intelligent and great characters.
