Deno Posted April 3, 2011 Report Share Posted April 3, 2011 assuming you have adequate filtering in your tank, try some large water changes for a start. It could just be that the nitrites have got a bit on the high side. Don't know how heavily stocked your tank is or if you overfeed. fishgirl53 Posted April 3, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 3, 2011 Hi thank you for your reply my tank holds 450ltrs my filter is an Eheim professionel 2329 my nitrites and ammonia is 0 and ph is 8 temp is 26.5 my fish are all fry except one 6" pleco I have 21 fish in there and I do a 40% water change every Friday I feed twice a day not too much my water is nice and clear cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ryanjury Posted April 4, 2011 Report Share Posted April 4, 2011 If they just do it occasionally then it should be fine.. but if they really get into it and start flicking their fins and looking really really upset or swimming around with clamped up fins then it is time to worry.
