waterlogged
ok so i have just been looking for a replacement bulb for my fluval ede but can't seem to find them any where. I have been thinking about making a diy light fixture to replace the original as the current lighting doesn't seem to be very pplant friendly. maybe a cheapish LED set up. something about 70x45x30mm to fit under the lid. here's a link to show you what it looks like. http://www.hagen.com/uk/aquatic/addinfo ... scover.cfm or if anyone has any lights they want to sell that will fit in there would be sweet. the current lighting is 2 sheilded type lamps GU-4 12V 10W thanks guys James

Joshlikesfish
The places that sell the tanks should be able to replace the bulb
waterlogged
yea that will cost more just buying the part. if i can't get it from bunnings or what ever then rather upgrade
SamH
Bunnings and Mitre10 Mega likely stock these bulbs actually.
waterlogged
bunnings had 20w but not 10. and the led ones on ebay look ok. got to look at small led strips
suphew
Go to an electrical wholesaler like advanced or rexel, I've got bulbs of them for these tanks before. They can order them if they don't have them in stock. The importer of the tanks doesn't import the bulbs. Be wary of using the LED replacement bulbs of Ebay, they are brighter but a very tight beam so look like you have two spot light's.

spoon
plants will grow under it but led would be far better- less heat and uv also as well as being a far more appealing colour temperature
