BigBossPants
Just wondering, when shops get fish from their suppliers do they quarantine them at all or put them straight out for sale? If so for what length of time?
Stella
If you are trying to avoid quarantining your fish at home, sorry all fish should be quarantined before going into your home aquarium, whether they came from the pet shop, the wild or from your best friend with pristine aquaria and no diseases in years. The choice, and ultimate risk and responsibility, is yours. And no, pet shops don't quarantine their fish.

Joshlikesfish
My local animates has a quarantine part out the back for sick fish. But they just throw the fish in the bays, and treat them if they get sick. They want to quarantine them before they go for sale but animates policy(or the boss, i forgot which one) wont let them. Scottie841
I never quarantine fish from the shops just stright into the tank Same here As of your original question... All the LFS i visit just put their fish in the sale tanks. Some do put sick looking fish in to quarantine but most just put them in to the tanks and then treat the whole tank.
