supasi
Have you touched it? what does it feel like? I had something similar years ago before the advent of digital cameras that looked similar to this. It was growing on the back of my internal filter. Had no idea what it was bit it felt like string with sand dots along it. (if that makes sense)
DennisP
I've had this in my tank a while ago. Ignored it, had no noticeable side effects, and it went away.
danval
Yeah Supasi.. It does feel like string.. You can rub it off with your finger but you are left with a thin seam. And i'm not worried about it as it seems too small to do any harm but would be interested to know what it is. Thanks.
Aquila
Freshwater tank right? I think its either a colonial freshwater Bryozoan or colonial freshwater Hydrozoan. Both very similar....have a close look at the tentacles. If they appear to be almost like 2 attached fans then its probably the Bryozoan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydrozoa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryzoa PS. It's definitely not a plant
