Very nice - its like the one of mine that committed suicide a couple of weeks ago. Is it male or female?

male, starting to build a nest already and he loves to show off to the girl hes with hopefully spawn them although shes not to keen just yet has changed from horo to vert lines in the last hour or so.

That's debatable...

Yes, I've read about the issues it can cause putting two double tails together. Apparently you are better putting a double tail to a single tail that carries the double tail gene. Theres always a high percentage of deformities with double tails anyway.

if we are attempting to improve the siamese fighter lines in NZ, i dont see how breeding two DTs together will help

knowing that the cross will result in even more deformities.

then no doubt these fish wil be sold and someone will breed from one, which then gets sold and bred from and so on,

then we are ruining the genes that people have worked so hard on in nz

sorry i hope that makes sense to others
