Brackishtank lover
Can I breed danios and guppies in the same tank at the same time
Joshlikesfish
Danios are egg layers. Need to seperate males from the females before you spawn them anyway, so you'd need a divided tank or two tanks.
ryanjury
Yeah it wont work, even new born guppies would eat the danio eggs/fry as will adult guppies..

Barrie
Danios are egg layers. Need to seperate males from the females before you spawn them anyway, so you'd need a divided tank or two tanks. Why do you need to seperate? You may get more eggs at times but I never seperate my fish and I breed at least 20 different egg layers. In nature they are not kept apart
skippy_49nz
I have bred danios and I don't separate them either. Beware of the bollocks people will try to tell you about doing this or that to make them breed...
alanmin4304
The reason for seperating them is to get more eggs. It is no harder to raise 1000 fry than 20.
Joshlikesfish
Sorry never saw those comments. Its just what I had seen work for others. I personally have never spawned them. Just read about it. The danios apparently spawn rather soon and you can just remove them all once done. But hey. Whatever works right?
