henward
i movbed my 22 clown loaches from one tank to the other. tank shares the same system so no water shock. but the new tank has way more hiding spaces. they hide alot, i dont see them schooling like they used to. any reason for this? they love to hide - some come out to eat but they only come out when i leave the room. i hardly see them eat. should i remove the hiding spots? force them to come out? loach sizes are from very large to medium/small. 4 to 5 cms is the smallest. should i remove hiding spots, force themt o come out and spend time in the open? DennisP
What I've found with lots of hiding spots is... (especially with those hidey BGKs) When there is lots, they hide lots. When there are few, they are much more bold. Since you moved them, they're probably nervous and they can hide very easily so they probably wont come out for a while.

livingart
you could go to the local hospital and get yourself a big box of patience fish school together for protection if there is nowhere to hide lots of places to hide means they maybe behaving more naturally to the big shape moving round the room
Nymox
you could go to the local hospital and get yourself a big box of patience They don't have any left, not for a few years now. I think the salties were buying them in bulk, they were quite popular with married couples and parents too.

Snowman
Ive noticed with mine and especially my biggest that ive had for years is basically they get brassed off at me annoying them, it can take 2-3 months before their behaviour returns to normal and they finally forgive me, its happened about 6 times over the last 6-7yrs, when we moved house 3 yrs ago he wouldnt even come out for food unless i walked off & that lasted for nearly 6 months, he will now come to the surface and almost take tablets from my hand again.
