Joe
Hi, Can we get these in New Zealand? Pair: http://www.cichlidsforum.fr/files/pelvi ... 2__162.jpg Male: http://www.cichlidsforum.fr/files/pelvi ... 3__171.jpg They are such awesome fish, and are much nicer than wild kribs and normal kribs. Thanks, Joe
ryanjury
They are almost identical to the Pelvicachromis taeniatus that I have been breeding/selling..

ryanjury
Are you bringing some of these up too? There might be a pair or 2 spare when I am up there and settled get in touch Unfortunately my big male has just carked it so need to keep back some fry to get another male.. Pelvicachromis taeniatus are on the allowed import list so it is possible that all sorts of strains could make it into the country. I have had ids done on my ones by someone who knows his kribs (Ted Judy) and he has suggested mine are just what you would call "tank strain" so of no particular strain but still pure Pelvicachromis taeniatus. Joe
They are almost identical to the Pelvicachromis taeniatus that I have been breeding/selling.. Could you post some photos please?
ryanjury
Have posted tons of pics before but here they are.. Unfortunately this forum doesn't allow me to post them full size so click to make them bigger. I really need to get them into a nice planted tank and get some descent pics that do them justice. These ones are when they were younger. Unfortunately I lost this male who was one of the only ones I had with a red check stripe but have some fry growing out with it
Joe
Wow that bottom picture of the male is awesome. He looks just as nice as the Dehane. I'll have to get some eventually. They are a really cool fish.
Caryl
I have a pair in my tank Joe (not the dehane, the mowgli - oops that is the moliwe  )
ryanjury
All of the males in these photos come from the moliwe strain which I have since had confirmed they are not moliwe anyway but still taeniatus none the same. How are they going for you Caryl? Glad to hear they survived all the issues your tank had recently..
Caryl
They are still going but not brightly coloured. No fry as far as I know but since I hardly see the female (she hides unless feeding) I have no idea if they have been spawning.

Bilbo
Mine look pretty flash as well. Not quite as colourful as the photo but not much different. I have 2 lots of fry growing with a total of about 35. I also have a spare male if you need him Ryan.
ryanjury
Yeah they should all be looking similar I picked this guy out of around 30 males so hope he is pretty good.. Haven't been breeding mine though have other things to work on atm and think I have spread these guys pretty well so hopefully they will get out there for the future..
