Wazza
Hi all, Can anyone tell me the best way to heat a 900 litre tank which has a 100 litre sump. Eg is it best to use multile heaters in the sump or split them up between the sump and the main tank? And I guess that I would need heating units of about 900 - 100 watts? Thanks in advance

Ira
2-3 300 watt heaters should do it. I'd personally put one in the main tank, the rest in the sump. That way you've got a bit of redundancy if the sump pump dies.
Warren
I use 2 x 300W in my 1200L. They won't fit in the sump or that's where they be... I can't see any reason why yours both can't go in the sump.
Luke*
I'd put them in the sump, will look tidier. What are the dimensions of the tank Wazza? Sounds like a beast
Wazza
I don't know the actual sizes yet, it's one that has been offered to me, all I know is the volume and that I need to work out heating ect. Thanks
