Low light plant life for my tank

Above is what my tank looks like currently. As you can see its got three plastic plants instead of live ones. The reason for that is I hardly ever switch both my lights on, during the day I don't even switch them on. I like to see my bristlenoses and chocolate zebra's and I only see them if the lights are off, or at night if only one light is on and not both. But as you can also see, the tank looks fake and borring. It used to be much more borring but I changed the gravel to the midnight fine gravel. So now it looks a bit better allready.

My question is, What plants can I use that is easy to keep alive and maintain for a newbie. Phoenix44 mentioned that I should get some and I would like to give it a try :)

It's a blue planet tank yes? well the filter looks like its from a BP tank any how.

Plants -

Sag Subulata, microfolia

Crypts - try as many as you can

cabomba

ambullia

you can leave the lights on during the day as well. i have lots of plecos in my tank - even many hypans that are about as ahy as it gets and I see them all the time. I got lots of light too. Feed them during the day only and you will see them more and more often as time goes by.

Yes its a Blue Planet Vista. The filter and lighting is all that came with the original tank. I will go to our animates tomorrow and see what they have there.

Thanks John and Jim, all help is greatly appreciated

:o That gravel is so tidy! :o When my Ambulia grows some more I can give you some free trimmings if you're willing to pick them up. Then you can see how messy the sand in my tanks is

LOL Sam

I have no idea how I will clean it after I planted the plants, cause currently I am taking everything including my plastic plants out, so I can do a nice thorough gravel vac. (that is why its so clean)

I would love to, if its not too far away from me.

Oh goodness, you don't clean it with plants, no wonder your sand is dirty  That is not too far, its ok for me to drive. I am still a bit weary to drive especially with my kids in the car. I get lost quickly hahahaha

Hahahaha I can just immagine that  I will wait for a day Hubby is on his off days, he is very good with directions. I however seriously need a gps with a lot of patience LOL

I can draw a little map on photoshop? But the stems won't be ready for a while now :(

Its ok  I am a super busy mom at the moment. My daughter is turning six on Thursday and we are expecting 20 kids :o I am extremely busy with arrangements. And if it still take months, I can live with the plastic ones, they don't bother me that much :D
