hi i am going to try somthing new i have done some research on salt water aquariums but just if u got any tips on what tank to get etc good for begginers aswell as were i can get it and prise range? needs to be about 200l

hi ok sorry about that i am interisted in the aqua reef 200 and prob going to get new unless i find a real nice secon hand . i am wondering like wat tanks are good that are not to pricey good filtration around 200l and good for beginners? is that more specific

yeah i have but i will get about 2300 for my tank fish etc and i am 13 so not able to get to much money but i do have a job. ok now for a red sea max 130d is 1999 i need fish salt all the equipment and coral etc that will cost more than 300 dont u think?

hahaha do u have marine? yeah so dont think i am going to get that unless i get one second hand cheap oh and how much do u think i need for salt etc coral?

I used to.. cost a tad more than 3k though :lol:

Then there is the livestock. Then you'll wake up one morning and say .. well this skimmer needs upsizing. It goes downhill from that point on.

FW it is for me until i buy my own house.

water from the ocean is free, and you'll need to buy salt if you know someone who can provide you with a regular supply of RO water. youll want RO water so you can keep the parameters stable and you know what minerals you are putting in the tank.

look at Reef's thread on here with his RSM for inspiration.

start by getting ya tank then go from there its gunna take a lot longer to cycle than any freahgwater tank you have ever had and you dont want to mess it up as fish and corals are expensive .

you will have plenty of time to save up for livestock while your tank is cycling

ok as i am probable goingto get a aqua reef 200 brand new dose any one know if it is a good tank etc? and wat are the main things i need like wat test kits and the tak has a bilt in heater cooler etc skimmer wat else?

"The Pet Centre" shops in Wellington sell RSM 130d's for just under $1500 they will sometimes ship, check out their website for contact details.
