BettaSplendens
What fish can I buy that will clean the bottom of my tank and can coexist with female fighter fish? Thanks for the help. Mike.

Ira
I don't want anything that will grow huge. What size do they grow to? Bristlenoses stay pretty small, cories even smaller.
SamH
Bristlenoses stay pretty small, cories even smaller. Depends what you call small  P44 claimed to have an 18cm one once, but lets not start THAT debate again

Ira
I don't think they get quite that big unless you're being very generous. But I have one that was nice enough just now to swim up onto the glass, measures at 12cm to the base of his tail. Include his tail and to the tip of his bristles on his nose maybe 14. I'd say it would be unusual for any to grow more than a cm or two more. But, anyway, yeah, I consider that smallish.

Ira
Those pictures are essentially useless for an accurate measurement. Put him next to a ruler.

Guest
lol. Some BNs do get big. I bought some that were HUGE. The male was 16cms when he died and I still have the female who's about 13cm - 14cms but she hides heaps during the day.
