Flosty
Haha , looks funny when its green like that and doesn't look very appetizing But when its frozen it seems to go brown or more the meat colour
henward
yeah well, i put in some scrapings of the bowl into the tank. they attacked it straight away! they like it. the geo phagus loves it. but the discus like it. the others were full, it was 1 hour after a feeding cycle, but even then they like it. Do you put this into the tank frozen or do you defrost first?
Dave+Amy
I defrost mine before handing out, they eat them faster that way (because it's so dense it will take ages to defrost)..my blender broke so now no more tucker till I find new blender lol
Bilbo
That is a great recipe. I usually make smaller quantities because I don’t like keeping food longer than a month at a time but a good looking recipe.
henward
yeah, i go through it quite fast, maybe not a month, but couple. its good, they attacked it and ate it first try. small ones love it! i cut to small pieces, grater works with babies not the big ones. i put in there frozen when i cut to smaller pieces, bite size pieces so they can bite into it and just swallow it, it melts very quickly
Dave+Amy
I have trouble with grating - when you grate do you grate it frozen? it seems to be quite big strips still though? that's sort of why I just puree everything together lol
henward
grating i stopped doing i just cut into thin slices from frozen. it usually curls as you cut. then i chop to size, dependong on adults or young discus. finely for young. you find, it provides hours of amusement for them, they just graze for ages lol
