Deepsound
Lol about 20.000 kms between us. In another topic, I was thinking about time. Now, I wonder if distance does really exist Excellent Dav ! How many liters in your tank ? During the breeding period, males become a bit territorials. So they need a lot of hiding places. Heterandria zosterifolia, cabomba grow fast, good choice. If you can, may be add some java moss Catappa is very good too, you're right

Sophia
what does the leaf do? i've seen them online and wondered if it was some sort of gimmick for unsuspecting newbies like myself
phoenix44
its good for making some fish breed. lowers the pH slightly and adds tannins to the water.
Sophia
I have access to lots of oak leaves, I suppose I could go over to the park and make some water with and without leaves and test the pH for an experiment. Does the presence of leaves lower it straight away and evenly or more/less as it breaks down?
