livingart
but it's an open question whether it can be exacerbated by human activities such as land-use changes or sewage outfalls love that part
Zev
Other types of cladophora formed balls and some people overseas kept them as a sort of "pet" in their homes. I liked this bit - can just picture it... 'Good moss now, roll down to the other end of the tank, now beg...'
DonnaM
A turtle forum in the USA talks about something like this that they buy in pet shops. They use the moss balls as entertainment for the turtles...who like to rip them apart and munch on them...yum!
SamH
Same family as Marimo. lol.. moss balls. A turtle forum in the USA talks about something like this that they buy in pet shops. So like salt water Marimo Moss Balls? The freshwater ones are common overseas, pretty much algae on a ball of mud. Place and turn regularly to stop a flat side from forming. Worlds easiest pet
Rob
Place and turn regularly to stop a flat side from forming. Sounds like the old labrador we had.
