dan_from_nz
that sucks, i was in last week and saw them putting a couple new fish in there from another tank seems strange. although that red tail cat was over 14 years old (although not the orriginal one) that is a long time to be kept in captivity

Warren
Sorry for the loss too... Just goes to show, bad things happen to even the best fish keepers.
Pegasus
I've never been in the place, but it is so saddening to hear of such a loss of such fish that obviously must have been a great icon for the shop. Were they all in one tank, as it sounds like more than just natural causes...? Bill.

breakaway
That is just sad. Any chance of finding out what caused it?
livebearer_breeder
its one thing for a guppy to die, its another to lose bigger personatly fish, can get more attached, especially if you've had one of them for 14 years. Midas
Bummer, must have been something pretty major to knock out the red devils.

kim
and thats just for the red tail i have had that happen to my tanks before someone was annoyed of because i wouldnt sell them my display fish and next thing i no they are all dead or dying.... it sucks that you cant have fish for people to look at but not for sale. not saying that thats what happend but to lose those kind of fish it would be hard. whats even sadder is the redtail might not beable to be replaced
buzzy
they were all in the same tank, i think the only thing that can't be replaced is the red tail cat.

breakaway
Has anyone got any info about what might have caused this?
kim
unless the water is tested by a lab and that can cost $100's of $ i dont think they will never no what happened to them, as i said i have had it happened to my shop tanks before and it cost me lots to get it done the first time and then after that i couldn't face it and had to just cry and say i don't no who has murdered them any way so what is the point in finding out, sometimes you don't want to no as you just want to kill some one for what they have done to your fish, fish like that are for peoples pleasure but they are also our pets and our favorite or hard to get and that's why they are on display and not for sale.
