fishybiz
I just tried that aquatool calculator for a hexagonal and it is not accurate. I know for a fact how many litres mine holds and the calculator is way out
phoenix44
well you could find the area of the triangle. .5 x b x h (It should be an equilateral triangle - so measure one side of the hexagon and that equals b and h then multiply that by 6 then times that by the height. voila! volume of hexagon. I think that might work. my brain is a little fuzzy today.

N1CK
whats the dimensions of the tank if it was rectangular... would be easier to work it out if you do that then minus the 4 triangles out of that and the way you have written the dimensions have confused me... spoon
http://www.mathopenref.com/polygonirregulararea.html work out the area of the base using the methods in the above link then x the area by the height either way you will end up having to take more measurements i suggest measuring the diagonals rather than trying to measure angles
